The compact pickup truck market in the United States is limited at best, with many major automakers turning their backs on the vehicle type. This, however, is not the case with the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. If you’re looking for a 2017 Honda Ridgeline in Edmonton, you’ll find it offers the features of a crossover SUV while featuring the external bed of a pickup.

According to U.S. News, the Honda Ridgeline is the top compact pickup, beating out all other available models. There are several trim options, including the base 4×2 Crew Cab 5.3 Bed. With an automatic, front wheel drive offering, it comes packed with a nice V-6 3.5 L/212 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound feet of torque. This is the standard engine in all the models, although you can upgrade to all wheel drive, which is a nice feature to have while taking on the winter snow in Edmonton.

The 2017 model is completely redesigned from previous options, which gives it a sporty, aggressive look to it. All models come with the crew cab design, so you’ll be able to seat up to five people within the pickup.  If you’re interested in connecting a trailer and heading out for a weekend camping trip, make sure to either go with the trailer hitch receiver upgrade or a trim model with it included. The max tow capacity is 5,000 pounds. This is perfect for a small pop-up trailer.

The 5.3 foot bed comes in handy for most transportation needs, and you can opt into the Tonneau cover for added protection on the truck bed. With solid fuel economy (which can vary slightly depending on the trim model you go with), this is a fun compact pickup when you don’t want one of the oversized trucks on the market.
